Richard Thompson

Matt from reprocessed.org seemed to enjoy the BBC4 Richard Thompson biopic as much as we did. It was excellent, and I have really enjoyed the BBC2 series of these, especially the John Martin one from a few weeks back.

interconnected changes its approach

Still trying to make my mind up about the latest revision to interconnected. I like the design, but I do miss the posts on the original.

Apple release new iPod

As expected, Apple released a new iPod yesterday, and I must say I like it. It is more an evolution than a revolution, but the new features sound good to me; better battery life, new click wheel, shuffle in the main menu and a drop in price.

I am interested to know does it have a new chip inside? If not then why can't existing iPod owners get the interface changes and better battery life (because Apple say its not a new battery)? Answers on a postcard please.

Hit by a spam attack

Sorry for the problems with the Lift blog over the weekend -- we were hit by a movabletype comment spam attack :(

So have had to delete some old posts, and turn comments off for now.

time to get serious...

the tour de france hits the mountains today, and now things get interesting. the first week is for the sprinters, and i enjoy it, but this is what the tour is all about for me. big hills, searing heat, mad crowds and one rider doing the ride of his life up a mountain. :)

What webloggers are reading this summer...

A really interesting list, and puts me to shame. I am working my way through a wonderful birthday present from Clare -- a box set of classic 60s fiction. Just finished Papillion, which I never got around to reading. The design of the covers is great!
