The design of forms and detailed documents is often forgotten. Well designed forms, instructions, bills and statements not only look good and reinforce your brand – they make it easier for your customers to understand and respond.

The School of Continuing Education at the University of Reading approached us with regard to redesigning their annual course prospectus. This required a level of detailed typographic styling and sensitive treatment of large amount of important information.

Alison Black brought us in to help her present the results of her research for Blyk, an up and coming mobile phone network. This involved making sample adverts for mobile phones, to help advertising agencies to produce effective adverts to be sent to mobile phones using text and picture messaging.

As part of an internal business process review Grainger asked Lift to produce internal forms to help them assess, monitor and review employees. The forms where required in Microsoft Word so that they could be completed and stored electronically as well as be printed, emailed and shared across different workstations. The forms needed to be easy to use on screen and in print whilst reinforcing the Grainger brand.

We were asked to build a web application for InterCall to allow users to compare competitors across a set of fixed criteria.
Lift was asked to design the conference programme for the NNg User Experience conference in London. The conference featured multiple tracks and speakers, and required a design which allowed for easy 'look up' of information. The design proved so successful that it has been taken up by NNg for use in their other conferences.
Berkshire Mathematics approached Lift to redesign its teaching packs. The packs use a series of tests which pupils can complete, and we redesigned these to make them easier to use, understand and complete. In order to keep cost to a minimum all diagrams and illustrations needed to be a single colour and reproduce well when photocopied.
